Everything! Why do we call our blog "wulijohyunjae"?
In Korean, the word "우리" (wuli) means "our". wulijohyunjae (our Jo Hyun-Jae) is a platform for us, as Mr. Jo's fans, to show our continual support for him and share his information and news while he is serving his country.
Mr. Jo's name in Korean "현재" (Hyun Jae) means "now" or "present". There is an old English saying:
Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift
That's why it is called the present
present = gift
present = now
Hyun Jae = now = present = gift

ReplyDeletei find it truly remarkable to find out that wuli jo hyn jae means "our jo hyun jae" because whenever i write comments in forums concerning our JHJ, i always refer to him as "our JHJ". some people might think that that sounds possessive but i use that phrase to show how much JHJ (our JHJ)has become a part of his fans lives. and he is so aptly named - a gift, a present, because he is that to his family, his friends and to his fans.
