CarpediemKorea (CAFE) has been sending Jo Hyun-Jae gifts every month ever since he entered the army on August 5, 2008. This is the 10th time and the emphasis this time is on snacks.
The quantity may be less this time, but the cost is actually higher. Snacks include French candies, Ferrero Rocha (chocolates), brownies, cookies, crackers, cheese sticks, nacho chips, Pringles (potato chips), beef jerky, and lollipops -- all beautifully packaged, complete with multi-coloured ribbons. We think these are meant for JHJ's campmates.
For JHJ there are the usual ginseng, telephone cards, SCREEN magazine, wet tissues, and something special for the summer -- bracelets and pads (made of natural ingredients) to keep off the mosquitoes which could be pestering JHJ when he patrols at night. These CAFE ladies really think of everything!
The weather is very hot in Seoul now and all these supplies will come in handy. And they come with so much love and tender loving care from JHJ's most devoted fans.

wow, JHJ's fans are so thoughtful and so caring. they even send items for JHJ's camp mates. his mates must be feeling so lucky to have our JHJ with them. do other s. korean actors now in the military enjoy the same kind of caring from their fans or are JHJ's fans just extra loving, thoughtful, generous and caring? just wondering.........
ReplyDeletewhen i saw the ferrero chocolates i became a bit teary eyed. it's my daughter's fave chocolate. she's away at boarding school right now, and i miss her a lot everyday that she is away. it's as if there's an empty place in my heart that only my daughter can fill. JHJ's loved ones must miss him the same way.....

ReplyDeleteNo wonder JHJ is so well loved by his fans that it is so heartwarming to see JHJ emotional and sentimental during his farewell Korean fan meeting last year. The gifts are neatly packaged and Ferrero chocolates are the best. I remember a friend of mine once made a miniature Christmas tree out of Ferrero chocolates and what a beautiful centerpiece it is.
